Louth is a picturesque market town with a rich history. The Greenwich Meridian runs through Louth (at Eastgate) as it travels round the globe from north to south. Visit St. James’ Church whose 295 ft high spire - the tallest in England - dominates the skyline.
Spilsby
Spilsby’s Franklin statue
Spilsby has a bronze statue of Sir John Franklin in the market place. He was Lincolnshire’s famous Arctic explorer, who was born here. A quiet town with a 700 year old farmer’s market. The town also boasts the oldest post box in the world, dating from when the Uniform Penny Post was first introduced back in 1840.
