Annual Costs
Ground Rent
The total Ground rent for the 2012 season is £1730.00 if payment is made in full in Oct. 2011,
or £1780.00 if payment is made in two instalments (£890.00 in October 2011 and £890.00 in June 2012).
All of these amounts are inclusive of VAT.
Rates
The Rates (local authority charges) are paid annually.
For this year June 2011 to June 2012 the charge is £249.00.
This is due on the 1st of June each year.
Gas and Electric
Gas is bottled and refills are simply purchased as required.
The current price for a 47kg cylinder of gas is £48.00.
We would estimate that, on average, an owner would use 2-3 cylinders per season.
Electricity is individually metered.
Each owner’s meter is read at the end of the season and then billed accordingly.
An average charge for the 2011 season was around £50.00.
Insurance
Caravan owners are free to insure their caravans with whoever they wish.
The park operates a scheme through Jardine Insurance Brokers.
Their current rate is £9.50 per £1000 of cover required.
